"In 2001, not long after my first art show, I traveled with my Dad to the Chilcotin in the heart of BC. He was working in Alexis Creek and Anahim Lake and I came along to find some new inspiration. We stayed at Eagle’s Nest Resort, and I spent the days playing with my watercolours. I painted “A Bird’s View,” “Ice Melting Full Moon,” “View from Eagle’s Nest Resort” and “Our Little Cabin” en plein air (outdoors rather than from a photograph). I also took some photographs on our Chilcotin adventure, and then painted Three Curious Cows from one of my photos. It took two or three tries before I completed this final version."
